Multi-Channel Digital Recorder

DT-200 (2 Ch) Programmable DAT Recorder

  • Record and playback two channels of scientific analog data on one Digital Audio Tape for up to four hours.
  • Switchable four low pass filters of Bessel, Butterworth, and Chebyshev types for each channel.
  • Switchable four gains of x1, x10, x50, x100 for each channel.
  • ID mark input / output channel and mark edit function.
  • Extra digital voice record and playback channel.
  • Very reliable and low noise signal channel characteristic

The DT-200 employs advanced DAT (Digital Audio Tape) technology and sophisticated instrumentation functions. Without question, the DT-200 DIGITAL TAPE RECORDER will greatly improve the stability, bandwidth, noise level and edit functions when compared to VCR PCM’s and FM tape recorders.

The DT-200 DIGITAL TAPE RECORDER is designed for scientific analog data recording and playback. It is a modified digital tape recorder with modern instrumentation control circuits. The DT-200 can record two channels of analog data from DC to 24kHz in 16-bit linear resolution digital format up to two hours, or DC to 14.5kHz in 12-bit nonlinear digital format up to four hours.

Two well calibrated switchable gain channels with selectable filters provide true scientific instrument feature. The very low noise channel characteristic provides reliable data recording.

Each channel has two push button switches to select four different gains and four different filters. During recording, different gains can be selected to maximize signal/noise ratio. Different filters can also be selected to response different signal waveform and different applications. During playback, different filter functions are selected to get no ringing pulses, sharp cut passband width signal, or between the above two features.

There is an additional digital voice channel for extra voice recording. An independent A/D and D/A conversion and an innovative digital circuitry are used for this voice channel. The voice channel, which is completely independent of two analog data channels, gives users another useful feature.

The DAT Sub-Code information is another feature superior to PCM video tape. Subcode information such as Start IDs, Skip IDs, program numbers, and absolute time data, can be used to search the location of data quickly and displays time during playback. There are Start ID input and output BNC connectors for manual mark input/output. An automatic Start ID writing mode can be chosen to mark every input signal automatically.
